American Wine &Food Festival : VISA and ConAgra Foods proudly presented the 23rd annual American Wine & Food Festival, to benefit Los Angeles Meals on Wheels programs. On September 24, 2005, a line up of todays most prominent chefs converge on Los Angeles for the 23rd Annual American Food and Wine Festival. A star-studded gathering of 50 celebrated chefs came together with more than 60 fine wine and spirit purveyors in honor of the occasion. Held at the Universal Studios back lot, the 23rd Annual Wine & Food Festival was open to the public and feature live bands, a live and silent auction--including fabulous vacation getaways, great wines and fine dining gift certificates--and an epicurean feast prepared by some of the worlds greatest chefs. This years festival feature Frontera Grills Rick Bayless, Patinas Joachim Splichal, LeBernardins Eric Ripert, Olives Todd English, The Food Networks Bobby Flay, Gary Danko's Gary Danko, Campanile's Mark Peel, Babbo’s Mario Batali, and Nobu Matsuhisa of Matsuhisa & Ubon, among others. Since its inception in 1982, the Puck-Lazaroff Charitable Foundation has supported the American Wine & Food Festival, raising more than $11 million for Los Angeles Chapter of Meals on Wheels. The Meals on Wheels programs of Los Angeles serve thousands of meals each day to the elderly, disabled and homebound members of our community.
